Allowable Animals
 Three adult dogs or cats are allowed per household. If you wish to have more than the allowable
number, you must receive an Annual Maintenance Permit from Orange County Animal Control.
 Only one (1) bird, poultry, rabbit or rodent is allowed per 1800 square feet of property. Only one (1)
pot-bellied pig may be kept on a residential lot. Peacocks and roosters are not permitted.
 Dogs over the age of 4 months who have been in the City more than 30 days are required to have a
dog license and shall wear the license at all times. Licenses are issued through Orange County
Animal Control.
 Property owners or occupants are responsible for any animal cry or sound, which may disturb the
peace and comfort of the neighbors.
 Bee keeping is prohibited on residential properties.
Animal Care
 No animals or birds shall be confined in any manner within 50 feet of any neighbor’s house or
within 20 feet of any property line.
 Animal waste must be removed and disposed of by the person having custody of the animal. It
must be disposed of in a sanitary manner
